Equipment Rules
Ensuring safe equipment
All Equipment must be checked by a marshal before the game begins.
Weapons: Weapons come in four different classes depending on their size. Class one is from 6" (minimum weapon length) to 2'. Class two is from 2' to 3'6". Class 3 is from 3'6" to 5'. Class 4 is greater than 5'. There is no maximum weapon length providing you can wield it safely. There is no difference between a sword, an ax, a mace, or any other kind of weapon.
Armor: Armor comes in four different classes depending on what it is made of. Class one is made from synthetic material such as duct tape or plastic and provides one extra hit point. Class two is made from leather and provides two extra hit points. Class three is made from maille and provides three extra hit points. Class four is plate armor and provides four extra hit points. A single piece of armor protects each hit area separately. For example, if I am wearing class three chainmaille that covers my chest and my arms, if I am hit three times on the left arm, it means the armor is gone on the left arm, not for the whole piece. So if I get hit in the chest next, my armor still has two more chest hits it can protect me from.
Mundane items: Players are encouraged to bring mundane items that they think their character might need, such as rope or a signal whistle, provided it is not a weapon of any kind, it does not use electricity, it does not distract others from the game, and it does not contain alcohol, tobacco, drugs, or other illicit items. Exceptions are made for medical purposes.
Magic items: If a character has any magic items, they will need to show marshal the origin paper before it can be used.
